Terms and Cancellation Policy

All journeys are operated and contracted by BlackSea Inc. A reservation request submitted through this website is a request only and does not create a binding booking. A booking exists once BlackSea Inc. issues a written confirmation and the required payment has been received.

A reservation is confirmed only when the confirmed total has been prepaid in full by the date stated on your invoice. A reservation may be released if payment is not received by that date.

One cancellation policy applies to every Merci Baku booking and is published in full on the Cancellation and Refund Policy page. Measured in whole calendar days before Program Start in Baku time, refunds of the package amount paid are: 100% at 16+ days, 80% at 3–15 days, and 70% at 0–2 days. At or after Program Start, no-show or voluntary abandonment, no refund is due. Separately disclosed and accepted Special Commitment Items may have stricter non-refundable terms.

“Program Start” means the scheduled commencement of the Merci Baku programme on Day One of your confirmed departure. Cancellation is measured in whole calendar days between the date we receive your written cancellation and the Program Start date, using Baku local time — not from your flight, airport arrival, hotel check-in or an optional pre-night.

If BlackSea Inc. cancels a confirmed departure before it begins, you may choose either a full refund of the amount paid for that journey or transfer of the full amount to another available departure.

Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation is strongly recommended for every guest.

Merci Baku is a fully prepaid journey. Prices are per adult guest, quoted in US dollars, and are not negotiable. Full prepayment is required to confirm a reservation after availability, accommodation, total price and cancellation terms have been confirmed in writing. There is no deposit and no instalment schedule.

Payment is made by bank transfer against a formal invoice issued by BlackSea Inc., with the amount, currency, payment date and reference stated in writing. Card numbers are never entered into, transmitted by, or stored on this website.

A booking is complete only when both the written confirmation and the required funds are in place. A receipt is issued for every payment received.

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for every guest, including cover for cancellation, medical treatment, repatriation and baggage. Travel insurance is not included in the package price.

BlackSea Inc. acts as the organiser of the journey and contracts with independent suppliers, including hotels, restaurants and transport providers. BlackSea Inc. is responsible for arranging and coordinating the services described in your confirmation and exercises reasonable care in selecting its suppliers; each supplier remains responsible for the services it delivers directly.

BlackSea Inc. is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural events, strikes, civil unrest, government action, border or airspace restrictions and public-health measures. Where such an event affects a journey, we will first seek an appropriate substitution, rescheduling or other reasonable operational solution. If the departure ultimately cannot be operated and BlackSea Inc. cancels it, you may choose either a full refund of the amount paid for that journey or transfer of the full amount to another available departure.

BlackSea Inc. is not responsible for consequential or independently purchased expenses, such as separately purchased airfare, travel insurance, independently booked accommodation, visa costs, personal transportation or lost vacation time. This does not affect your refund rights for the Merci Baku journey itself.

The published itinerary is indicative. Sequence, venues and daytime programmes may change because of weather, venue availability, supplier scheduling or local opportunities. We will always aim to provide an equivalent or better alternative.

Four Seasons Baku Hotel is the standard accommodation for Merci Baku journeys. Each guest stay is arranged individually and directly with the hotel, and the confirmed accommodation and room details are provided in the guest's final Hotel & Stay Confirmation. In the exceptional event that the hotel is unavailable for the selected dates, the guest is informed and a nearby five-star hotel of equivalent standard is proposed; the guest decides whether to proceed.

Four Seasons Baku Hotel is independently operated. Merci Baku guest accommodations are arranged directly with the hotel. Merci Baku and BlackSea Inc. are not corporately affiliated with, owned by, or acting as brand representatives of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

The standard Merci Baku journey is six nights, beginning with your arrival on Day One and ending with departure on Day Seven. Guests may arrive before Day One or later on Day One according to their individual travel arrangements; airport greeting and private transfer are included regardless of arrival date or time, subject to complete flight information being provided in advance. An optional additional hotel night at Four Seasons Baku Hotel before Day One may be arranged separately; it is not part of the six-night package. Availability and any applicable price are confirmed individually in writing before payment.

The Grand Prix Edition departure is timed around the Formula One race weekend of 24 – 26 September 2026. Race tickets are not included in the package price.

Where race tickets are requested, the category, price and conditions are quoted and confirmed in writing for each booking and are governed by the terms of the ticket issuer. Race tickets are a separately purchased optional item: their terms are disclosed in writing and separately acknowledged before purchase, they are paid in full at the time of confirmation, and they are non-refundable once issued. This is separate from, and does not alter, the Merci Baku journey cancellation policy.
