Prices are per adult guest in US dollars and are not negotiable. Confirmed reservations are settled by bank transfer against a formal invoice. Card numbers are never entered on this website.
Payment beneficiary
BlackSea Inc.
BlackSea Inc. is the U.S. contracting entity through which Merci Baku reservations, invoices and customer payments are administered.
For your security, Merci Baku payment instructions will identify BlackSea Inc. as the beneficiary. If you receive instructions naming a different beneficiary, please do not transfer funds and contact our reservations team using the details published on MerciBaku.org.
How your money is protected
- Your funds are held in a client trust account
- California law requires BlackSea Inc. to deposit 100% of customer travel funds into a business client trust account. Withdrawals may be made only in compliance with California Seller of Travel law.
- Nothing is owed until you accept in writing
- Sending a request creates no obligation. The full total, the payment date and the cancellation terms are set out in writing and on a formal invoice before any money moves.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended
- Comprehensive insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment, repatriation and baggage is strongly recommended for every guest. It is not included in the package price.
- If a departure cannot be operated
- If BlackSea Inc. cancels a confirmed departure before it begins, you choose: a full refund of the amount paid for that Merci Baku journey, or transfer of the full amount to another available departure. No cancellation amount is retained when we are the party cancelling.
- No card data touches this website
- This site is served over HTTPS and does not collect, transmit or store card numbers or security codes. Payment is made by bank transfer directly to BlackSea Inc. against a formal invoice, and every payment is receipted.
Cancellation protection
Cancellation is measured in whole calendar days before Program Start, using Baku local time. Refund percentages are based on the package amount paid.
- 16 or more calendar days before Program Start
- 100% refund of the package amount paid.
- 3–15 calendar days before Program Start
- 80% refund of the package amount paid.
- 0–2 calendar days before Program Start
- 70% refund of the package amount paid.
- At or after Program Start, no-show or voluntary abandonment
- No refund of the package amount paid.
- If we cancel your departure
- If BlackSea Inc. cancels your confirmed departure before it begins, you may choose either a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled Merci Baku journey, or transfer of the full amount to another available Merci Baku departure.
Separately disclosed and accepted Special Commitment Items may have stricter non-refundable terms.
How a refund is processed
Within 1 business day
We acknowledge your written cancellation or refund request by email and confirm the amount at stake.
Within 5 business days
We issue a written refund determination stating the refundable amount and the terms it is calculated under.
Within 10 days
The refund is released to the original payment method. This ten-day release is Merci Baku's own policy.

Questions about money
- What am I committing to when I request?
- Nothing. The amount charged when you send a request is US$0. You are committed only when you accept your personalised Agreement and its formal invoice, and complete payment by bank transfer.
- Is the price per adult guest?
- Yes. Published prices are per adult guest in US dollars for the six-night journey — for example US$7,250 per adult guest based on two adult guests sharing — and are not negotiable. Your Agreement and invoice restate the total for your party before any money is due.
- Are there charges added later?
- No fees are added by us after your confirmation. Only genuinely personal items — additional purchases you make yourself during the journey — are settled separately.
- What if my visa or flight falls through?
- Tell us in writing as soon as you know. Where a departure is still open, we will transfer your place to another 2026 departure rather than treat it as a cancellation, at no additional charge.
Your data
- This website is served over HTTPS. Your reservation request is transmitted encrypted and stored in an access-controlled database.
- Card numbers and card security codes are never entered on this website and are never stored by us.
- Your details are used to assess and administer your reservation only. They are never sold, and never shared with anyone other than the restaurants, hotel and transport providers who deliver your journey.
- You may ask us to correct or delete your details at any time by writing to us.
